Web Design and Branding
RPS has a robust history…
RPS is one of the oldest school systems in the United States, dating back to the early 19th century. It was officially established in 1870 after the Civil War.
RPS played a significant role in the history of desegregation in education. In 1959, the city became one of the first in the South to desegregate its public schools voluntarily, preceding the landmark Supreme Court ruling in Brown v. Board of Education.
RPS was among the first school districts in the nation to implement programs such as magnet schools and advanced placement courses to provide diverse educational opportunities for students.
Two winners of the National Teacher of the Year award (Jason Kamras, 2005 and Rodney Robinson, 2019) currently work at RPS.
Problem
A lack of awareness in the local community about the foundation's work and its impact can result in lower support and engagement.
Solution
Improving communication strategies through social media, local media, community events, and school newsletters can increase visibility. Engaging stories that highlight the benefits to students and teachers can galvanize community support.
The Visual Identity
For the rebrand, we wanted to reflect the importance of education combined with the future-thinking vision of RPS.

Merch Design
I also designed a pattern that could be incorporated in merch and social media for visual interest.
Print Collateral
I designed a suite of print collateral including business cards and a letterhead for mail communication to potential donors.
